Tag along to Colorado

Last week, Britton had to take a trip to Grand Junction, Colorado for a few days, SO the girls and I decided to tag along for a little get-away!  We got to travel through Moab, UT, which neither Britton or I, have ever been through.  We got to see lots of pretty scenery, and now I totally wish we had gone through to see all of the amazing arches.  Here are a few of my favorite things we saw though....
LOVE this one...
We actually stopped here at the "Hole in the Rock", cause I wanted to see what it was all about.  It was really cool.  I guess back in the 60's-70's this couple built their home inside of this mountain!!!  They blew it out with dynamite and hand chiseled a ton!!!  They couple has passed now, and are buried right there next to it.  We got to take a tour, and it was really neat...
This was on our way home.  We took the scenic road that traveled right along next to the Colorado River.  It was so pretty (but also kinda winding, so my stomach and I were glad when it was done! :>).

The girls traveled so well, thanks to travel TVs, and LOTs and LOTs of Dora and Diego!  I just love this picture of Braelyn about to fall asleep!  Such a little doll!
We found a little downtown area in Grand Junction with lots of neat little stores...of course hardly any of them were open because it was mid-week, so they closed at like 5!!!  That was a bit disappointing, but it was still fun to walk around a bit with the girls.
They had lots and lots of art sculptures and stuff all around on the streets.  Braelyn and London's favorite were the gorillas....
What a cheese ball!
And we had to go take a dip in the swimming pool at the hotel of course!  The girls loved being in the water...

Easter

Braelyn was SO excited for Easter this year, and couldn't wait for the Easter bunny to come...and boy did he come!  Here we are coming down the stairs to see what awaits us....
I forgot to take pictures of their Easter baskets, but they each got lots of goodies, including some bunny ears of their very own...
And then they looked around and saw all of the candies, and eggs that the Easter bunny hid for them!  Off they went...

Afterwards, it was time to get ready for church to celebrate Easter the right way. :>  Here are the girls in their new Easter dresses given to them by their Mammaw and Pappaw...

I had to post this one too because of the pose she took....Check out her leg!  Possible baby model?  We'll see!
We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter like we did!  We are especially grateful for our Savior, Jesus Christ...the real reason that we celebrate!  How blessed we are to have Him in our lives.

Egg Hunt in Texas

Since it was only a couple weeks before Easter, my sister and I decided we needed to put together a little egg hunt for all the girls!  They had so much fun, and got WAY too much candy!  Braelyn was especially excited about it all!
Here they are Pre-egg hunt...
During
And, after...

Look at their baskets!!!  That's over 100 eggs!  We obviously went overboard (by accident!) :>  It was totally worth it though :>

Bluebonnets

One awesome thing about spring in Texas is that it's bluebonnet season!  The Bluebonnet is the state flower of Texas, and is so pretty, especially when there are just fields of them.  Some of them were still not in full bloom, but we took a trip to Ennis, to drive the Bluebonnet trails....

My sister and her family...

BEAUTIFUL!

The Dallas World Aquarium

One of the days we were in Texas, we went to the Dallas World Aquarium!  I love this aquarium...it feel like your in a tropical rainforest, and has a few other different animals to look at too.  Braelyn was LOVING it!  London was a handful, and just wanted to run around, but she enjoyed parts of it too!
Braelyn and Pappaw checking out some monkeys in the trees...

Braelyn and London with the huge (and kinda gross, in my opinion) crab/lobster thing....It looks like it's trying to eat London!!! haha
Looking at the Penguins...
Sitting in the Shark tunnel.  This was so cool, there were so many different kinds of sharks swimming all over.  Braelyn is really digging sharks, so she really like it.

Deep in the Heart of Texas

Back in March we took a trip back to Texas to see my family!  I love going home!  We had a really fun trip, packed with lots to do!  Here are just a few of the random pics...

Braelyn saw this snow globe on the shelf and just loved it...

This girl LOVES oreos, and I just about died when I saw the aftermath of her oreo binge....

Braelyn and London "sharing" this toy....
London going full out "Texan"!  She LOVES wearing Braelyn's boots! :>
Londy and her Pappaw...
 Braelyn playing Tea Party...
Being silly with cousins Paige and Rorie...
While we were in Texas, we also had the chance to see Braelyn's birth grandfather, Mike (who Braelyn calls "Mikey"!  haha).  We love him so much, and are so glad that we got to spend some time with him!

We love you Mike!

We also got the chance to see London's birth mom and her family too!  We took plenty of pics, but those are top secret...don't be too jealous!  :>
