Last week, Britton had to take a trip to Grand Junction, Colorado for a few days, SO the girls and I decided to tag along for a little get-away! We got to travel through Moab, UT, which neither Britton or I, have ever been through. We got to see lots of pretty scenery, and now I totally wish we had gone through to see all of the amazing arches. Here are a few of my favorite things we saw though....
LOVE this one...
We actually stopped here at the "Hole in the Rock", cause I wanted to see what it was all about. It was really cool. I guess back in the 60's-70's this couple built their home inside of this mountain!!! They blew it out with dynamite and hand chiseled a ton!!! They couple has passed now, and are buried right there next to it. We got to take a tour, and it was really neat...
This was on our way home. We took the scenic road that traveled right along next to the Colorado River. It was so pretty (but also kinda winding, so my stomach and I were glad when it was done! :>).
The girls traveled so well, thanks to travel TVs, and LOTs and LOTs of Dora and Diego! I just love this picture of Braelyn about to fall asleep! Such a little doll!
We found a little downtown area in Grand Junction with lots of neat little stores...of course hardly any of them were open because it was mid-week, so they closed at like 5!!! That was a bit disappointing, but it was still fun to walk around a bit with the girls.
They had lots and lots of art sculptures and stuff all around on the streets. Braelyn and London's favorite were the gorillas....
What a cheese ball!
And we had to go take a dip in the swimming pool at the hotel of course! The girls loved being in the water...
