Thanksgiving

This year our Thanksgiving was great! We didn't travel anywhere, which was nice, but both of our families were missed! We had dinner with the little family we do have here, Cooper, Ahlena, and their girls. Ahlena and I outdid ourselves, if I do say so myself, and everything was delicious! Here's a glimpse at our day.....
Braelyn loves "playing" the piano. Here she is with her silly cousin, Ellie

Ellie, Me, Braelyn, and Piper, gettin' ready to chow

After we ate, we headed down to the park....the weather was amazing (like 75 degrees..perfect)! The kids played on the playground and did some batting practice.
Britton is trying to teach her already!!!! Swing Batter!

Getting her stance....

Halloween and Stuff....better late than never!

Well, I am FINALLY getting some pics up from Halloween...that's pretty bad, I know! We had a very special one this year. We traveled up to Utah to see my brother-in-law, Carson, get back from his 2 year church mission in Chile!!! It was so exciting to see him come home! And it was just a couple days before Halloween, so we stayed for all the fun stuff!

We got to fly up to Utah instead of Driving (love that), and Braelyn did awesome on the flight to and from. She slept pretty much the entire flight from take off to landing both ways! She was glad to get to Grandma and Papas though so she could run around....

There is Elder Black fresh off the plane!

This is Carson's first time he's met his new niece.

Braelyn was infatuated with these balloons the whole time!

While we were there, there were a few really awesome weather days, so we played outside. Braelyn seriously LOVES being outside, and cries when it's time to come inside!
We went to feed the ducks and geese at the park. Um, let me just say that these were some of the most aggressive birds ever!!! I don't know which goose it was, but one of them totally flapped/slapped me with it's wing...so rude!!! I was a little nervous, and needless to say Braelyn was not able to get down! I think she had fun watching them though.
Swingin'
The night before Halloween, Britton's Aunt had an annual family costume party. It was so fun to get dressed up and go see all the family!
May I present to you.....
*Braelyn the Fairy*
Braelyn going in for a kiss to her cousin Bella
Mom and Braelyn
The entire party was spent chasing Braelyn up the stairs...she loves them! At this party she actually, finally, learned how to go down the stairs...yay!
Dad and Braelyn on the stairs
This was us at the Utah trunk or treat. It was alot colder this day, so we just bundled Braelyn up , and didn't fuss with putting her costume on her again. It was so fun to take her around some, and see what she would pick out of the candy bowls.....so that her mom and dad could eat it later!!! haha!!!

Her first, and possibly last sucker!!! Man those are sooo messy! She couldn't get enough
of course!!!
It was a great trip, but really tiring........

Catch up time

Man, it seems like alot has happened since my last post, so before I get really, really far behind, here's what we've been up to:

Britton and I had our first Murder Mystery Halloween Party last night, and it was so much fun (Thanks Brooke and Greg!). I was "Vicky Ravioli", and Britton was "US Congressman Darin Toosteal". There was one murder involved, and while I thought Brittons character did it, it turned out to be someone I never suspected! Goes to show how good I am at the game!!! It was 1920's dress, so here are few pics of us!

All the girls
All the Guys

Braelyn is just growing like a weed, and is so much fun! She is walking everywhere all of the time, and getting into all kinds of things!!! Although it can drive me crazy at times, I wouldn't change anything at all! She is starting to talk also. She says "mama" and "dad" really well. She says "bird" (it comes out sounding like "dird"), "car", & "please" .
This is today driving to church.....I just had to take a pic cause she looked extra cute today! :>

Cheesin' around
Look at all those teeth! She just cut her 12th tooth last week!!
Playing dress up! I LOVE this adorable tutu my friend Christy made for Braelyns birthday!!! She is actually going to wear it for Halloween this year, and be a fairy!

Braelyn has also become quite fond of this beanie! It's mine, and I put it on her one day to see what she would do. I took it off her, and she did not like that. For days she would go get it, and bring it to me to put it on her!!! Too cute!
Also, at the beginning of the month, my cute niece, Zoe, got baptized! It was so fun...family came down from Utah and everything!
Later at their house my friend Christy H., and I sang a song for Zoe called "A Window To His Love", while I played the guitar. I think it turned out ok, but please forgive the picture....I hate mid singing pics of me!

I also had a birthday this month on the 14th! I turned the big 29, much to my dismay!!! Since my birthday was on a wednesday, and both Britton and I are in Young Mens/Young Womens, we didn't do much till the weekend. However mutual was super fun cause we went to a corn maze! Here are a few pics of that little adventure....
Here are some of the awesome ladies I get to work with:
Ahlena, Christy H., Me, Natalie, and Christy S.

I love these girls....they're the best!

Here are our adorable YW! They are such a good group, and I love em to death!

Ok, and last but not least, we had a "late over" for our YW girls earlier this month at my house. The theme was 80's night, so we all looked pretty hot! It was seriously a blast though!! We did karoke (sp?), and played some games, ate, and talked. Good times....
No, these aren't some of the girls, believe it or not....we are actually their leaders!!! I know, I know, we are hot babes!

Here are just a few of our cute 80's girls!

New Stuff

Not a whole lot has been going on lately, but there have been a few fun things. A few days ago I gave Braelyn her first hair trim....I don't say "haircut" it was merely a trim of only the back! She was starting to have a mullet, and that's just something I couldn't do!!! She did awesome too! I probably cut off a good 1/2 inch of hair!!! It looks super cute if I don't say so myself! Now it will be much more even for the "grow out" phase! Here are a few shots.....

Braelyn pulling her fake laugh face! She cracks me up....she does this fake laugh all the time, and it is just the cutest thing ever!

About a week ago was my niece, Zoe's, birthday, so we went with them to celebrate at Peter Piper Pizza! It was super fun! We sat Braelyn on a few of the little rides there, and she seemed to really like it! It's crazy how big she looks on all of them! She's not my "baby" anymore...*sniff, sniff*

Last but not least.....just tonight as I was brushing her teeth, I got a flash of something white on her gums! It's a molar....but the story doesn't end there! I was so surprised, that I check all the rest of her gums too....Don't worry that she has three molars coming through!!!! I kinda feel bad that I didn't know before now, but she NEVER lets me get a good look in there without freaking out, PLUS she really hasn't been that cranky...good for me! Anyways, I think that's about all for now!

We had our friend, Amanda, take some pictures of us and Braelyn last week, and they turned out super cute!! Here are a few of the shots!!! Thanks Amanda!

Love this Girl!

I can't believe my baby, *sniff*, is one already!!! Although she's probably not an official "baby", she'll always be that to me! I think she's a toddler now, which is super fun, but where did the time go?!
An update on her stats at her last doctor appointment are as follows: 20.9 lbs, and 29.5 inches long. The Dr. said she's in the 40th percentile for weight, and the 70th for height! She is nice and healthy for the most part. We did find out about a week or so ago that she has anemia :<>
She is so much fun in this stage...I love it!!! She's walking all over the place, loves to try all the food we eat, a.k.a. a moocher, & trying to say new words. When music comes on the TV or the radio she stops, looks, and almost immediately starts dancing to the beat!!!
CHEESE!!!

I had to sneak this video from around the corner of the couch. She got a musical birthday card from her cousins, and she figured out how to work it...so funny! Check it out!

*Birthday Girl*

Well, our sweet baby girl turned the big 1 on Saturday the 5th!!! The day started out by waking her up at 5am to take her over to her cousins house.....yeah I'm not kidding! Britton and I did a triathlon sprint early that morning! I wished it wasn't on her birthday, but it turned out to be ok! She just loves playing with her cousins...they even played in the rain a little! These are the first pics of the birthday girl after we got home....
This is one of her most favorite past times although she's not allowed to do it for very long...playing with the blinds!
We let her open her first present from us that morning...so fun!

And then she passed out....it had already been a long day!!

Your Invited.......

I was so excited and proud of this cake! It turned out just the way I wanted it too! It was alot of work, but totally worth it and sooo fun!!!
(the color is a little off in the pic cause it's in the fridge)

I think she liked it too!

"It's my party...and I'll cry if I want to!!!!"
The Big Birthday Girl!

Braelyn and her cousin Ellie

She didn't have as much fun opening all the presents, thus the reason for the binky! Thank you so, so much to our friends and family for all the awesome gifts...she really does love them!

I made her very own cupcake ladybug, and here she is giving it the once over!
And she's off...
In the act..
